Isle of Man residents will now have access to wireless Internet in a number of new locations around the Island thanks to a new set of Wifi hot spots provided by local telecoms provider Sure. Spill the Beans Café in Douglas was the first site to be launched this week, followed by Sure Strike Bowling and Leisure Centre .
The move is part of Sure’s initiative to make high speed and reliable broadband available to everyone across the Island. The new Wifi hot spot at Spill the Beans was celebrated by its staff earlier this week.
Rose Dahlan of Sure commented: “We are excited about giving free broadband access to Islanders via our network, through these designated locations. Sure broadband was launched in November of last year and has since taken off as a cost effective high speed Internet option for local residents. Providing free Wifi to Islanders helps us showcase exactly what our network can do. We hope people will enjoy being better connected in these new areas.”
