Lezayre Road in Ramsey will reopen tomorrow (Friday 3 August) at 2pm, ahead of schedule.

Lezayre Road RGS puffin crossingNearly 1 kilometre has been resurfaced between Gardner’s Lane and Bircham Avenue with a cycle lane added along the improved road surface.

The junction at Bircham Avenue has also been fully reconstructed. This included the installation of a new large diameter water trunk main across the junction to avoid further excavations and disruption in the future.

A section of carriageway near Ramsey Grammar School was also fully reconstructed and a replacement puffin crossing was installed outside the school.

Additionally, a section of Gardener’s Lane has also been resurfaced.

The Department of Infrastructure would like to thank residents, schools and businesses for their patience, particularly residents in Gardener’s Lane, Greenlands Avenue and Gladstone Way who have endured additional traffic while the work has taken place.
