Financial Sanctions: Iraq

This news release is issued in respect of the restrictive measures directed against Iraq.

On 4 July 2019 Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1141 (‘the amending Regulation’), was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.  The amending Regulation amends Annex III to Council Regulation (EC) 1210/2003 with effect from 5 July 2019. The amending Regulation reflects the decision made on 28 June 2019 by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Committee established pursuant to Resolutions 1518 (2003) and 1483 (2003) to remove 13 entities from the UN Iraq list. 

The entities listed in the Annex to this Notice have been removed from the UK’s Consolidated List and are no longer subject to an asset freeze.
