A total of 22 food and drink products from the Isle of Man have received Great Taste accreditation in the internationally recognised awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food.

Business Isle of Man and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) congratulate all the Isle of Man producers recognised this year.

The awards celebrate exceptional food and drink products from across the world and are widely regarded as one of the most respected benchmarks of quality within the industry.

This year’s results reflect the Island’s growing reputation for quality, creativity and excellence in food and drink production, with this year’s wins representing the highest number achieved in the past three years. The awarded products span a variety of categories, from artisan meats and baked goods to innovative seasonings, and confectionery, with ten local businesses receiving accolades.

Producers recognised by Great Taste this year were Billy Boy Limited, Ballacosnahan Farm Ltd, Devereau & Son Ltd, Isle of Man Meats, Isle of Man Salt Co., Jan Browns, Lush Bakes Ltd, PopCornaa, The Fish Market at Robinsons, and Viva Cento.

Steve Pickett, Chair of Business Isle of Man, commented:

‘Congratulations to all of this year’s Great Taste award winners from the Isle of Man. The Island’s success in these prestigious awards is a testament to the exceptional quality, innovation and passion demonstrated by our local food and drink producers.

‘Achievements such as these strengthen the Isle of Man’s reputation as a producer of world-class food and drink products and showcase the talent that exists across our sector. Great Taste accreditation provides valuable independent recognition, helping businesses build their profile, access new markets and demonstrate the quality of their products to consumers and retailers alike.’

‘At Ballacosnahan Farm we’re passionate about celebrating the unique qualities of Manx Loaghtan, the Island’s iconic native breed. To see our charcuterie recognised with multiple Great Taste awards, is incredibly rewarding.

‘Our aim has always been to create premium products that honour the unique quality of the meat while showcasing the Isle of Man’s rich food heritage. We’re grateful to everyone who supports local producers and helps us continue telling the story of Manx Loaghtan through our products.’

The Great Taste Awards attract more than 14,000 entries annually and are judged through a rigorous blind-tasting process involving over 500 food and drink experts. Products are assessed solely on taste, making Great Taste accreditation a highly respected mark of excellence throughout the global food and drink industry.
